Work is progressing nicely on the new pier, as you can see in these pictures taken by Bruno Wilmart.
In Grandcamp, they are already thinking about spring, and they are growing the flowers that will brighten roundabouts and containers.
Bruno WIlmart paid a visit to the town greenhouse and came back with a few pictures.
As the last remains of the old pier are still lying on the beach, the new oak lumber has arrived, as witnessed by Jean-Jacques Pessaud.
The pier, damaged by last winter's storms, is being rebuilt.
But first, everything must come down...
Both locals and tourists follow the progress of the work with great interest, wondering how the new pier will look.
It is supposed to be faithfully rebuilt, all in oak, by the end of the year.
Jean-Jacques Pessaud and Bruno Wilmart were there with their cameras.
