Effets de vagues

C'était au début de Mars. Une grosse tempête a fait éclater les vagues sur le perré.

Jean-Claude Célerin nous a fait parvenir ces photos prises sur la jetée à Grandcamp.

It was early in March. A wild storm whipped up the waves over the seafront.

Jean-Claude Célerin forwarded us these pictures taken from the jetty at Grandcamp.

Le bout de l'épi

Cette fois, c'est fini. On a mis les dernières touches à l'épi, et Bruno est allé jusqu'au bout quand la mer était haute.

Now it's all done, the reconstruction of the pier is complete, and Bruno took a walk to the edge at high tide.

Au coeur de la tempête, Bruno et Bertrand sont montés tout en haut du clocher de l'église pour prendre ces photos de Grandcamp enseveli sous la neige.

In the middle of the storm, Bruno and Bertrand climbed the church steeple to take pictures of Grandcamp under the snow.

La température s'est radoucie à Grandcamp, et après toute une semaine, la neige n'a pas duré:

Quand la neige s'est arrêté de tomber, Didier Vaulogé est allé faire le tour de Grandcamp, de la statue de la Paix au port.

When the snow storm ended, Didier Vaulogé went out for a tour of Grandcamp, from the Peace Statue to the harbor.

Bruno est passé par l'église, par l'école, et par un beau sapin qui doit être dans son élément.

Bertrand, quant à lui, est allé du côté de la mer.
Sur la cale, on faisait de la luge.

It is a rare event: Grandcamp woke up under a thick blanket of snow.

Bruno passed by the church, the school and a evergreen in its natural environment.

And Bertrand went to have a look along the seafront.

L'Epi: Mise à rude épreuve

Une nouvelle tempête a mis l'épi à rude épreuve. Bruno a fait face au gros vent pour prendre ces photos.

A fresh storm put the new pier to the test, and Bruno went out in the fierce wind to take a few pictures:
