Et, pour finir, La Grandcopaise est mise en cale sèche pour son carénage. Une fois sa toilette terminée, La Grandcopaise prendra la mer pour participer aux manifestations nautiques régionales et pour des sorties en Baie de Grandcamp jusqu'a St-Vaast ou les iles St-Marcouf.
Les hommes en bleu sont tous membres de l'Association du Torbouai qui a restauré et maintenant gère La Grandcopaise: Jean-Pierre Jubin, Michel Rose, Hubert Capet, Serge Leclerc, Hubert Meslem, Claude Chavouet, Joël Pezeril, et le président de l' association, Marcel Marie (de gauche à droite sur la photo ci-dessous).

The Belle de Grandcamp is getting a good sprucing up. For weeks now, a team of men in blue have been busy working on this historic vessel, a replica of a sailing trawler of the beginning of the 20th century. They clean, they fix, they scrape, they paint. Instruments are taken apart; then put back together. Then La Grandcopaise is put in dry dock for a thorough cleaning of her hull. Once the work is done, she will be ready to take part in regional maritime festivals and to sail on excursions in the Bay of Grandcamp as far as St-Vaast or the St-Marcouf islands.
The men in blue are all members of the Torbouai Association which restored and now maintains La Grandcopaise: Jean-Pierre Jubin, Michel Rose, Hubert Capet, Serge Leclerc, Hubert Meslem, Claude Chavouet, Joël Pezeril, and the president of the association, Marcel Marie ( from left to right on the last photo above).
To join this group of adventurers or to support the Association, you can apply for a 2008 membership card at Association Torbouai du Bessin - Port de plaisance - 14450 Grandcamp Maisy. This card will allow you to sail with La Grandcopaise.
