La Grandcopaise a été mise en radoub au début de Janvier pour se préparer à fêter dignement ses 60 ans.
Elle a repris la mer pour aller à Port-en-Bessin participer à l'animation « Terre et mer » les 18 et 19 avril.
Les 11 et 12 juillet prochains, pour son anniversaire, La Grandcopaise sera ouverte au grand public. D'autres vieux gréements seront invités et des animations auront lieu autour du port. Un CD devrait aussi être publié pour l'occasion.
La Grandcopaise navigue depuis 1949. Elle a fait la pêche pendant 40 ans, d'abord à Cherbourg sous le nom de « Deux Amis » puis à Grandcamp sous l'appellation « Franck Yannick ». Depuis 20 ans, la Grandcopaise représente Grandcamp dans le patrimoine maritime Normand.
La Grandcopaise was put in dry dock early in January to get ready to celebrate her 60 years of service.
She was ready to sail to Port-en-Bessin on April 18 and 19, for the "Terre et Mer" festivities.
On July 11 and 12, for her birthday, La Grandcopaise will be opened to the general public. Other historic ships are invited to participate in the celebration. All kinds of events will take place around the harbor. A CD will also be released.
La Grandcopaise has been sailing since 1949, first in Cherbourg as a fishing boat called "Deux Amis", then in Grandcamp as the "Franck-Yannick". For 20 years now, it has represented Grandcamp as the local historic ship.
